Wasting Time

I should be editing video right now. But I am easily distracted and not very good. I got a twitter account. I only recently realized what they were. So I thought it would be funny to have one that is updated in a satirical fashion. For a little bit. Just what I need to be doing right now. Anyways heres the link

I wish I could tell you all about something and why but I'm not.

I found out today that my brother's dog, Lisa, has a tumor and its going to cost over a grand to do any kind of procedure. Fuck money and fuck capitalism and fuck the modern world. Sike. But kinda yeah.

I am doing my orals for my Thesis at 9am on Wednesday the 29th. I've already started to have small anxiety attacks. They feel great. Shit I just want to pass and graduate and not think about anything like this for a few months.

Ok, I forgot what I was going to write about and I'm feeling really guilty so back to work it is for me.

Here I go.

Sometimes I like to spend time sitting in my room staring while listening to a really good album on the loud. Today it's Trap Them's Seizures. If you haven't tried it, you're missing out. You have to be able to feel all the low frequencies.

I have been spending a good portion of my free time at the shop. I really like it there. Best job I've ever had. I work with amazing individuals and get to experience a side of cycling that most do not. I like to hang out after hours with Ryan and listening to Luciano pretending we are 67 year old mechanics in Italia working on Merckx's bike. Haha. I just made that fantasy up, but it's pretty close.

The Paris-Roubaix just happened and I missed it again. Maybe the first time I get to watch it live will be in person in France next spring. I have fantasies of being in the race too. But as Molly pointed out, there's little to romanticize about pro Euro racing. Drugs and Lies. Hah. Whatever. I'm in love with Italia. I'm sure I'll fall in love with France whenever I get there.

Gonna get warm very soon again. It's probably coming from Miami with Phil. I hope I can focus. Short shorts are gonna get some.

If anyone doesn't know whats going on in Thailand and you are friends with Luke you should check it out. Though like in every case do not believe the fucking media. Things are not under control and things very well may get out of control. There is a holiday that is going on that everyone left the city for. We will see how "in control" the military is after the holiday is over. Luke is ok though. I talked to him for a while last night. He's still stoked on life and Thailand. As he should be.

Oh and if anyone needs to buy my mountain bike or parts from it let me know.

It has been an unusually dry winter and spring. The last few days were amazing. Short shorts and pollen. Everything is in bloom. I can't wait until the Maple tree in front of the house has leaves. I can't wait for more sun and warm weather.

Puppy Mills

I haven't really thought about animal rights issues for a while. Actually thats not true at all. I just don't equate other animal's suffering to "Animal Rights." It's been said before and I'm going to say it again. “No one is free from suffering unless all sentient beings are free from suffering.” I recently decided that I wanted to make work about puppy mills, pet owner-ship and futile efforts of animal shelters. I typed "puppy mills" into Google and a picture of barrels of dead cats and dogs came up. There are few things that I think would top the amount of selfishness that comes with purchasing pets let alone from pet stores.

This is not a thorough investigation of my thoughts on pets and their relationships to humans, so if you have questions or concerns, please contact me in another way besides a comment.

Dork to the Max

I had a dream last night that I was on a space station that was the shape of the Death Star, but the inside was more contemporary and the outside walls were all made of glass. We all were having a celebratory feast in honor of Commander Worf's glorious death in battle. There was epic song. However instead of a Klingon style meal it was dwarfish, roasted meats and mead. What a great dream.

I found out that they have cast the guy who plays Mr. Bean as Bilbo Baggins. I'm not too sure about that.
